@ivelostmysparky wrote:I suspect that Rob's $2M estimate is too low and my $3M is an absolute minimum. To see how much you could get for Cadwallader I am following 3 props:
Nimrod Challenger
Zakayo Keter
Elisha Wa Mathai

$3.17M
$3.23M
$3.46M

So Cadwallader would get a minimum of $3M like I said. If well-trained unlike the above props, he would be pushing $4M when he gets that soon-to-be moderate exp pop. Excluding sentimental (YA) and similar reasons (wanting to have a NZ and PI dominated club) still I don't think it is good business for tryasta to keep him and not train him.

Very tight top-4 in league one, well, at least its bottom-3. Wink

Looking forward to seeing how it plays out during the last five rounds.

yes...I badly miscalled Gunslingers intent....I thought that he would save himself a bit more seeing as he has a cup semi final this Wednesday. though I quick review of his log ins shows that he hasn't clicked in since early July...I should have done my prep a bit better. I hope we don't lose Gunslingers?

and yes, I also believe that I underestimated the value of Cadwalleder, but purposely. Better to estimate too low than too high. I think 3 mil is very realistic....so few high rated youngsters hit the TM these days, unless it is part of a bot drop.

On vacation here but I think keeping Cadwallader is the best option.

By your own reckoning, I will need Cadwallader's $3M + $1-2M extra to buy 2 250K CSR 26 yo props (one now, one in 5/6 seasons)

For example Noa Lamah
Ali Brereton (this one is rather a short lock).

If I keep Cadwallader, though, I will have a 21 yo prop and, in 5 seasons, a 26 yo prop. No extra costs.

Alright agree to disagree then.
I don't think Noa Lamah is a viable target for you though because he is 415k CSR at 25yo - and has decent exp. Will go for $5M+ or $6M if managers value exp and are looking for a top tier captain.

25 y/o and decent experience, I have never seen that before! 19 leadership (revamp scale). What a player.

Lacks stamina, though. Go figure..

If I could, a) train him (he needs more than just stamina, as I'm sure you agree), and b) afford him, that would be a great idea! Wink

Well he isn't tall enough for my pack and his discipline is too good for Rob's pack so it looks like he isn't heading towards an NZ club.

Btw, it looks like an interesting cup final this season.

Interesting league round ahead of it too. Crusaders seem to have a good opportunity to wnwim before the final, while Sparker have a more difficult decision. Save energy and likely give up home semifinal position vs. Hercufleas, of defend it while going into the final with less than perfect energy?

And then we have league round 11 too, with another set of playoff deciding games.. Interesting! Smile

Sparker will wnwim against 'fleas because he wants to keep his energy as close to 110% as possible. The last time he played normal was against me in R3.

In II.1 the difficult part of the season is about to begin. Wareika Hill United poses an excellent treat due to my lousy form and their need of points to avoid relegation.

I still need 2 more wins to secure the playoffs and it is not clear what is the best strategy to get them.

But they just LTNT'd, and you will have home advantage. Unless you'll play wnwim, I'd say you are almost certain to win..

I am not so sure. CSR + form vs HGA + energy... I have like 5 starting players looking at average form as a best case scenario... including Booth.

Your underestimating yourself and your team. I bet a houndred euros you'll win. You'll even get a bonus point. cheers Wink

Edit: I'll tell you who's form sucks. Mine. My average 1st XV form is 6.8, yours is 7.4. Quit sulking, now. tongue Wink

Woah. 7.4 is bad enough... 6.8 is terrible!! I wonder how they even manage to lace their boots.

The thing about winning is that you can get carried away so easily and believe you will just keep on winning. One must stay grounded and decreasing form is a reason as good as any and more effective than most.

Not in a hundred years I would have thought in S35 I would get a similar winning pctge similar to that of S34...

You look like you're positioned decently in your league with the bottom 3 teams still to play and your squad has good energy for the most part.

makings of a great cup final tonight.
I wonder how hungry sparker will be? he hasn't always given it his best in the cup competition, just 1 winners trophy to show, which is surprising.

Sparker's squad looks nicely primed (energy wise), and I was very surprised with how easily he disposed of me over the weekend with a wnwim effort. silent

good luck losingyoursparkles! will be a tough game - even for you Shocked

I agree. It will be an interesting one! Good luck to both teams!

BTW, I know how you feel. I was stunned in a similar way when I tried to LTNT sparky in R6 and lost by an almost identical score..

That's what I would think too. You look pretty likely to make the top four, should you want to. It's a tight div 2 league, though. Good luck!

Looking at the teams that will feed the new division 2 I wonder how would I avoid direct relegation in S36 if happen to qualify...

It would be a lot wiser to not qualify, avoid the playoffs, go smoothly to div III without contentment hit and fight for promotion in S36...
