Season 29 Discussion

Post by Bren on Mon Jul 18, 2016 11:09 am

New season. New thread.

Goals
1. Just one. Fuck Jolly Roger Crew. Fuck Linkin Hawk 15. I'm not going to get relegated back down to division three.

Good Luck on staying up Bren! I'm just happy that Linkin Hawk has passed through my league and I don't have to battle giants any more.

14th consecutive season in Div III.8. Anyone else have such a mediocre record?

I can't believe it! I'm expected to face a bot with a guy that weighs 140kg!
http://www.blackoutrugby.com/game/club.squad.php?squad=20073#player=8191065

Interestingly, that's the biggest guy I've seen in BR for a while. Everyone seemed to be maxing out at 139.

Bren, I will never know. I don't check the bots players.  What a Face
Besides, I am sure if ever a bot has such a player he will probably be wearing 15 or 10 Very Happy

(Edited five minutes after: Oh my! they had played him with the number 1 jersey for this match. Bots managers have increased their CSR, too!!)

I wonder if there is a hard-coded max for weight or if we're just subject to the laws of normal distribution. So, say a 150kg guy is possible but incredibly unlikely (like winning lotto every single week of the year likely)

There are no set maximums. Jeremy loves normal distribution. There is a 141 kg (142?) Spaniard.

Beautiful. Who doesn't love normal distributions though?

In the old 10 mark note there was a Gauss portrait and the gaussian/normal distribution in it

Hey, @SlyStallone,

You are wanted for the North Island vs. South Island community challenge!

You too, Razor. Smile

Oh, c'mon @donkeysaint ! The North Island already has Batman, you want to throw also Razor in? If you do that I might be forced to accept Batman's suggestion of an itinerant Auckland and team him up in the south island. Twisted Evil

There were changes made to the standard deviation for height and weight ages ago - like S12ish? Before then there was a time of 150-160kg players such as The Planet and 215-219 cm locks (always seemed to be Canadians).
