Re: Season 29 Discussion
4.5 years in the same div III division before promoting Did it the hard way too with a 1 point win in the final, and by 4 points in the Qualifier.

It has always been like that, has it? The fact that the league structure and promotion system still hasn't changed in all these 29 seasons, flabergasts me.

That is a good use of the word flabbergast
Rhymes With Orange has been in II.1 since season 13 I believe which makes him a 5 year veteran in that one league. One of the biggest problems is the autopromote line and having to play a Qualifier if you are below the line. If you win your league you should promote imo. Rhymes With Orange has won II.1 three times and Wetaskiwin Wolves won III.8 twice without promoting.
Yes I think the same promotion system has been in place since the beginning.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Oh yes you are correct. The energy reset for the Qualifier was introduced around S12 I think. But that is a huge guess on the timing.

Thank you, I thought so too. Seems I managed to misspell it, though (and oh, how I hate that.. ).
Another example. The leader of my league, the Maungati Mainlanders, have won it six times in a row without promoting. Stupid.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Looking at Uruguay's energy prhaps I would not mind if the energy for both teams is not reset

To be fair:
1) My team focus is firstly on training for U20s and AB. This leaves my team unbalanced with a 500k CSR top player and 140k CSR bottom player leaving room for other teams to exploit my weaknesses
2) My league has often not had a lot of ranking points in it. This made it impossible to autopromote as even when you are winning you have a low ranking.
3) I am tactically awful and about to get found out in a big way in div 2. Anyone who wants to give me some tips on scouting opponents I would greatly appreciate it.

It's starting to look like you might be getting your wish..
@Everyone,
When is energy locked in for a game? At the second deadline? The first is in a few minutes. If there is no energy reset (is it done manually?), will Uruguay have a case for a rematch?

14th consecutive season in Div III.8. Anyone else have such a mediocre record?
I did it boys. 15th time is the charm. Back to Div II. I reckon they should name Div III.8 after my team though after all those seasons.
Nice! Good luck with staying up!
And on an unrelated note, Excel is sending off emails to every NZ manager right now about U20 scouting (nearly everyone here should get one). Hopefully we get some good prospects.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
No, 26 last week. 29 this week.
Must be related to your move? Though I would have thought that you'd have pretty low member growth in division three.

Let us not forget some people moved to NZ for the increased number of member gains.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Yeah but in div 3? That would only be for div 1 where teams are trying to get the absolute maximum amount of members.
