Rambo hasn't been active since R8. Though he logged in R13 to keep his team alive.

I'm not surprised NZ rugby is being a dick. I am surprised that we still don't have a new sevens coach and Dubai is like a month away. Seriously, when do we need to pick a team?

Another title in the bag for Canterbury. Mo'unga isn't bad for the 5th best first five in NZ. Only 22 too.

Damned Cantabrians... they have this habit of winning time and again
BTW: India and NZ are playing the fifth (and last) ODI right now. It's India opening and they are 71-1 after 15 overs.

Re: Chat thread
LOL. The version I had read in NZ Herald was missing certain parts, namely, the one saying the All Blacks are masters of the dark arts

Interesting read, thanks for the link!
The part about using exchange of rating points to measure team quality, reminds me of your CSR/ranking points calculations in BR.

Re: Chat thread
Hi all.
I have been doing a bit of programming on my side... BR-related. I have done some stats from the games played by several teams. I could use some ideas on what to check if you have any. I provide an example of what I have obtained:
Sparker
Games analyzed: 193: 149 wins, 44 losses
Winning pctg at home: 86%
Winning pctg away: 66%
Winning pctg against higher CSR: 42%
Winning pctg against lower CSR: 87%
Jolly Roger Crew
Games analyzed: 300: 281 wins, 18 losses
Winning pctg at home: 90%
Winning pctg away: 68%
Winning pctg against higher CSR: 56%
Winning pctg against lower CSR: 96%
Okaiawa
Games analyzed: 270: 179 wins, 90 losses
Winning pctg at home: 71%
Winning pctg away: 61%
Winning pctg against higher CSR: 30%
Winning pctg against lower CSR: 85%
Melville
Games analyzed: 286: 227 wins, 57 losses
Winning pctg at home: 90%
Winning pctg away: 68%
Winning pctg against higher CSR: 64%
Winning pctg against lower CSR: 94%
I can obtain every stat that is shown in the reporter's summary... but I am not sure what stats could be interesting.

Re: Chat thread
Very interesting!
Jolly Roger Crew's graph is interesting though I imagine there are very few games on the right hand side causing that.
Melville's is also interesting though not terribly surprising considering the average age that Chewy likes to put out there.
Would be interested to see Direwolf Straits (20581).
Could be interesting if you could sum up those numbers into a single metric, can't quite think how though.

Thanks tryasta!
So Chewy's success with relative CSR is partly because of player age and experience? Sounds reasonable. Still, very impressive consistency.

Re: Chat thread
This did give me an idea of my own.
How good a predictor are the stars? So, if you have an star advantage in Attack how often do you ending up winning the game? Here are the results based on the Pizza Shield last season.
Maul - 86.3%
Creative - 85.6%
Pick and Go - 84.6%
Expansive - 83.4%
Driving - 82.1%
Handling - 80.4%
Defense - 79.9%
Scrum - 79.0%
Stamina - 78.7%
Lineout - 77.1%
Attack - 73.5%
Ruck - 73.3%
Kicking - 65.0%

Experience isn't included in the CSR calculations (wish it was) so if he's got a few points better average experience then he'll be able to easily beat someone with identical CSR.
