And there is still the Cup. Cup matches tend to restore swiftly the Log o' Wood in Division I

Re: BR Ranfurly Shield
another typical Hercufleas ranfurly reign.....im sure my record number of defences stands at one....
well done to the Gunslingers....I was out of the match at the 15 minute mark when I had 3 players come off injured! (not including the one already on the sideline)

I will need to once and for all code the BR Ranfurly Shield program...
But I guess you are right: it probably was taken away from NZ by either Razor or Batman.

Re: BR Ranfurly Shield
I've figured it out. Jolly Roger went undefeated with the Shield in season 31 and then left NZ.
Below is the history of how batman got it and filling in the gaps of what is currently on tryasta's site.
Round  Fixture  Notes
S31 = Jolly Roger undefeated all season in Cup and League, then left NZ.
S30 R14 League I.1 Jolly Roger Crew 145 Hercufleas United 0 Â Successful defenses: 4*
S30 R11 League I.1 Jolly Roger Crew 149 - Kehua Pass Thrashers 0 Â Successful defenses: 3
S30 R10 League I.1 Jolly Roger Crew 55 - Melville RFC 0 Â Successful defenses: 2
S30 R10 Cup Jolly Roger Crew 139 - Gunslingers 0 Â Successful defenses: 1
S30 R9 League I.1 Okaiawa 6 - Jolly Roger Crew 74 Okaiawa lost the Shield after 0 successful defenses
S30 R8 League I.1 Gunslingers 23 - Okaiawa 33 Gunslingers lost the Shield after 2 successful defenses
S30 R5 League I.1 Gunslingers 88 - Intelijunt Dezine 0 Â Successful defenses: 2
S30 R5 Cup Gunslingers 125 - Prawns Rugby Club 0 Â Successful defenses: 1
S30 R4 League I.1 Hercufleas United 13 - Gunslingers 32 Hercufleas United lost the Shield after 1 successful defense
S30 R4 Cup Hercufleas United 81 - Mufasa 0 Â Successful defenses: 1
S30 R3 League I.1 Okaiawa 21 - Hercufleas United 26 Okaiawa lost the Shield after 1 successful defense
S30 R3 Cup Okaiawa 188 - Whitewater River Dukes 0 Â Successful defenses: 1
S30 R2 League I.1 Foxton Foxes 14 - Okaiawa 52 Foxton Foxes lost the Shield after 4 successful defenses
S30 R2 Cup Foxton Foxes 148 - Boundary Creek Cobras 0 Â Successful defenses: 4
S30 R1 Cup Foxton Foxes 138 - Mckay Creek Grizzlies 0 Â Successful defenses: 3
S29 R12 League II.1 Â Foxton Foxes 68 - Milenium Falcons 8 Â Successful defenses: 2
S29 R10 League II.1 Â Foxton Foxes 46 - Innocent Dingo's 19 Â Successful defenses: 1
S29 R10 Cup  Intelijunt Dezine 19 - Foxton Foxes 37  Intelijunt Dezine lost the Shield after 4 successful defenses
So now what?
Would the fairest thing be awarding the Shield to Herc because he was League I.1 & Cup runner up in S31? And then seeing where it got to?

Or you could say Hercufleas was the previous holder so when Batman left he should have got it back?

The previous holder was Okaiawa.
The real life Shield was first awarded to Auckland because they were the best team in that year when it was first given out. With JRC ineligible 'fleas were clearly the best eligible team that.
So did the Shield get passed to Hercufleas or Okaiawa at the end of S31?

Re: BR Ranfurly Shield
Should go to the best team of Season 32 in my opinion. Idea is that the JRC give up the Shield at the end of Season 31. The Shield then goes on hiatus for Season 32 and is awarded at the conclusion to the best team of that season. Normal challenges begin again in Season 33.

Now this I like but I can't help but think you have ulterior motives . Let us pretend that JRC didn't leave NZ but instead went bankrupt and sold off all the players and staff etc and become the bot team "Brakpan Ducks ⓑ".
In S32 they played away for the R1 Cup game (and got knocked out by a fellow bot), played away in R1 league game, but then lost the Shield in R2 to Hercufleas United. They had some successful defences but then lost it to Div II.2 team Monkey Nuts in R9 of the Cup, who then lost it to @donkeysaint and his Auckland Katipos R.F.C. in R11 who then lost it to Night Runners in R14 so @Pantherus would have had the Shield at the beginning of S33.
This is my favoured option so far. Any other ideas?

Re: BR Ranfurly Shield
That's really hilarious how I would have won the shield! I seriously didn't look into it....(sounds as though I would have beaten my record of one successful defence)!
...the other option is to play it like the very first shield game back n Season 1.....the first holder to be determined between the 2 teams that played each other in the first cup game. I.e. Game 1....which would see the Broad Spur Suns as the next holder after JRC.

Re: BR Ranfurly Shield
Seems like you and your team do better without Shield pressure
Options of who has the Shield at the end of S31/start of S32:
Hercufleas
Awarded to the best S31 team (excluding JRC) for his 2nd place in both I.1 and Cup - based on how the real life Shield was originally first awarded.
Votes = 1
Okaiawa
Previous holder prior to JRC gets it back.
Votes = 1
Brakpan Ducks (bot)
Pretend that the holder JRC became the bot team instead of swapping with an overseas bot team.
Votes = 3
Broad Spur Suns
Re-starting like it originally began in BR S1 with the first Cup fixture of S32.
Votes = 4

Re: BR Ranfurly Shield
I kinda like the idea that jrc forfeited it thus the BR board decide that the next holder will be determined as it had in season 1...option 4.
