Effective training
Hey guys,
Been wondering what is the best way in general to train a player to get skill pops and increase CSR. I see players being promoted at low CSR and being trained up to have crazy increases in their CSR. I currently train players with 2 sessions of IT on the skill I believe needs improving for their position but struggle to get a good increase in CSR. Trained a 20 y/o's 2 skills each week on 2x IT sessions for each but could only increase his CSR from about 75000 to 80000 over the whole of season 28. Was wondering if there is any specific method you guys use to train young players into stars?

Hey mate! Welcome to the offsite!
Throwing the full 10 sessions on your players is the quickest way to improving your players and what most do. It's pretty essential if you want players to make an U20 team.
If you get your youth academy to level 3 then you can get a pretty effective assembly line of players happening.
The level of your training facilities and trainers is pretty important. Consider Salesi Ieremia.
He came out of the youth academy with 51,699 CSR. 26 weeks later he was at 96,705 CSR when he got transferred to Team Name. This owner has level 4 facilities but largely used level 2 trainers to train Ieremia til today (23 weeks later) where he's at 114,500 CSR.
Original owner: 1707 CSR a week
New owner: 801 CSR a week
I'm not sure what kind of facilities the original owner had but that kind of difference adds up over time.

Re: Effective training
Cheers mate! I'll give it a go, got level 2 academy and coaches of the main squad at the moment so might pay to invest in an upgrade. Anyway thanks I appreciate it, hopefully get a good bunch of boys coming out of the youth squad and starting training them up soon!
And another thing quickly, is it better to train a range of skills within their 10 sessions or focus on only two or so skills each week?

Re: Effective training
It's a bit of a balancing act as you want to focus on the skills which suit the players position, while minimizing the effects of a diminishing return as you add more sessions (ie the 2nd session will boost the skill more than the third.) As a general rule of thumb I don't put more than 2 sessions on one skill, but on the odd occasion I've chucked 3 on a very important skill such as jumping for a lock.
If you want to in game message the skills of a player you're planning to train I could help you build up a training regime for him

Also, keep the following in mind.
Level 1 training – can train to 14, but very slow after 10
Level 2 training – can train to 16, but very slow after 12
Level 3 training – can train to 18, but very slow after 14
Level 4 training – can train to 20, but very slow after 16
Level 5 training – can train to 21, but very slow after 18
