New season, new edition of the NZI.
I've put together a 96 page tome of numbers for this NZI. Check it out!

fantastic work Bren....though you could have got to 100 pages with some NZI history!
always a good read, thanks once again for helping to keeping the NZI one of the premier competitions of BR

hmmm...need to change the odds for Linkin Hawk....they been buying up a storm recently (okay, just 1 player)...boosted their Top XV CSR average to 330....probably more purchases to come....anyone know that guy? might be a good sort to have on the offsite....

He's signed up for the offsite but never posted.
Anyway, reran the numbers but my rather simplistic model still gives Linkin Hawk $500 odds. Over 10,000 simulations he never wins.

Missed the sign up through an inactive patch last season. Oh well. Guess I'll cheer for Bren with his spiffy new team name which also has the wolf thing going on.

Will contact him for the North v South challenge. His team is from Canty, so definitely very important to have him signed up. Besides, someone needs to face the pirates . I have managed to contact every manager in the Otago, Southland, Nelson Bays regions... Will start soon with Canterbury.
Who knows, perhaps he will reply?

Re: Season 29 NZI Banter
i think i promised some banter...chewy, your gonna get your walking frames stoved in.....
despite my advantage of 50k csr (or thereabouts), chewy's experience (and home ground) gives him the advantage in the star department....gonna be a tough one....usually chewy will aim to throttle me on the turnover/penalty account...

Re: Season 29 NZI Banter
Yeah!
I too was up against HGA, a distinct CSR disadvantage. I lost my star, in-form flyhalf and kicker to injury and I was down 31-10. But my guys showed everyone why they are winners by scoring four consecutive tries and winning the game 31-39!!!

Nice donkeysaint!
I'm pleased with a bonus point victory against the Naki Boys. Nice way to start the season. Hopefully I can repeat it when I face them at their own stadium.

Looking at the stars for the Economists ECC match against Hamilton... Nearly identical. I have a small advantage in lineout and that's it. Should be interesting.

Trailing 21-23 at halftime against Papakura...
...supposedly the weakest rival in my pool.
...at home.

I was in complete control in the first half up 14-3 but am now down 22-17 and it's all one way traffic.

And lost 25-24. In the first half it looked like I couldn't lose yet in the second half it looked like I couldn't win. Well done Gunslingers.ivelostmysparky wrote:I was in complete control in the first half up 14-3 but am now down 22-17 and it's all one way traffic.

well done (again) chewy...i need to trial some more tactics to see how i can combat aggressive tactics...i thought i played the right tactics tonight, but obviously not...other stats weren't so bad....am also wondering how to stack my locks/no6. With Lord Melkor, i now have 3 locks, so one of them will need to shift to 6 (which isnt a bad thing, i now have a decent lock reserve and either one of those locks would make a great No.6)....tonight i trialed Whakapapa at 6, wanted to see if his 21 technique (but rebellious) would be a huge advantage in general play...i think Studzinski might be best at 6 though....

Congratulations to all the winners, myself foremost!
By the way..
We clearly need Rambo here.
By the way..
If that's the best smack-talk we can manage, we must surely be a bunch of old geezers. No wonder you lost, Rob!robelix wrote:i think i promised some banter...chewy, your gonna get your walking frames stoved in.....

Lord Melkor is a lock at Hercufleas,
A Balrog is a prop for Kenya,
Alatar is the name of a manager in Spain...
... next up will be the ball being called "the One Ring"? Gladden fields a rugby stadium? Trolls packaging in the tight five?
