Re: Season 29 Discussion
I think my load is shot. Needed to beat one of the top boys by 30 and failed each time. Screwed now. It ain't gonna happen. So, basically, the horse is saddled and ready to trot off, September is gonna be way too busy for me to pay attention and this was my cut off; couldn't put it better than the marvellous Finns.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Pantherus is this just a commentary error or a bug?
Score is 25-16 then the opposition score a three pointer to make it 25-16. Then this happens-
79:21
"Melville Hard get back to halfway with no delay to try and clinch this match! That kick from Mitchell hangs up well in the a...."
Why no delay, I'm winning.

so you can clinch it! ...or maybe rub it in....
but seriously....could be just commentary, did it actually take faster for a kick-off to happen, or just the usual time it takes?

Re: Season 29 Discussion
It's a "quick restart" event - as to why it actually happens I couldn't say...can have a chat to J or maybe dig into the code myself...

Re: Season 29 Discussion
The no delay is simply due to the ME running more quickly for the last X minutes. This was added in somewhere in the last X seasons because of questions about the length of time taken over conversions/penalties which caused 1/2-score gaps/reversals to open up around the end of a game.

Yes I remember this coming in. I thought only for the trailing team tho. There was a short turnaround from conversion to restart @robelix

Re: Season 29 Discussion
It seems not to activate in the last minute though. It's always fun/agony/relief/torture when what you're sure must be the last play kicks in around 78:40 and you know there's only 35 seconds to score if two scores are needed. Or you're there hoping that "if you're going to score from 5 yards do it now so I can get the ball back". The last conversion takes almost 50 seconds out of the game. However, sometimes, when you're two scores ahead and are sure that it's over because the conversion will take it over 80, then there's an injury and stops the clock, then the conversion is done directly afterwards leaving time for another possible score. Swear jar gets thrown out the window.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Looked through his history and seems to be a guy to hedge his bets. He'll definitely normal at minimum, depends what he sees. His cup history shows he never plays WNWIM when he's not the favourite. He's in possibly the nastiest, most cut-throat league in div 2 though, with an important game on Saturday but the cup is the cup. I'm betting on a normal from him but preparing for an LTNT.

Well, we have our Sweet Sixteen.
Cup Prediction Spreadsheet Updated. Not too much change from last week with no upsets this week and the random scheduler keeping the big teams apart for now.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
getting to the business end of the cup.
if i survive tonight, i will be hoping for afavourable draw...im feeling rather vulnerable as my players form are in a bit of a slump....and many of them have forms that are continuing to drop...not looking good....
