As predicted, II.2 gets me and the bot. Very happy to be able to give both Pantherus and Bren the bash this season.

How are people's packs shaping up?

I found that 990kg was decent, but to really intimidate you need to be in the 4 digits.

Starting 8 works well.

The heaviest isn't really ideal but ok for bots and lower tier teams.

What's the point? The current BR world, with all it's history and our clubs, squads, academies, plans and forward packs, will wither away and die a quick death after the new game is launched.

I think this is a decent base to build on average age of my front 8 is 25 and ave CSR is 206K.

I hear you donkey, and I feel much the same way.

I haven't taken my main club particularly seriously since about S20 when I made the decision not to buy up old experienced players to force my way into (and stay in) Div 1, but rather keep the squad well managed in terms of age, and aim to become competitive in Div 1 around S30.

In the meantime I've been playing around testing the positives and negatives of a using a very tall pack but with a shit hooker, heigh weight in all the loosies, and tech and/or strength in different backline positions, and the true value of a world class kicker. And heavy investment too such as my 20yo impressive leadership future captain, and 3x awesome 22yos. I still have $8M to spend.


But on the other hand, I'm not totally opposed to a fresh restart because some of the shit that went on in BR, and their lingering effects needs to be removed (player farming, money farming, $20 pw salary savers, making illegal second teams into affiliates, gifting mature clubs to other managers, ability to run no facilities and staff).

Either way, I will battle on and enjoy my time in the current/classic BR, however long it takes before it dies.

How is Kilifi Bari working for you at 7? He ended up being used as a back in the U20s, and I've never managed to get a light and fast flanker to work for me at club, U20, or NT. High weight seems to be hugely underrated at 7 with speed overrated.

That's a tough one.
I am still using him at 7 but his reckless discipline means he has more penalties than turnovers.
His general play is very good with plenty of broken tackles and line breaks. I may convert him to a 12 this season and see what he can do.
What do you use instead of a "fetcher" type?

I use 3 blindsides across my whole loose trio.

He was judged to be the best number 7 out of all teams in all divisions for the Pizza Shield comp. And that was is in the top tier playing against teams where my team is normally down on CSR and stars.

@sparky: Do you prefer a collected openside flanker rather than a flawless or controlled one?

I would like a whole team of flawless players for maximum tactical flexibility.
However to give you a better answer, I would prefer a player at the controlled/collected boundary, values 12-15 in the v2 site.
