[S31] NZI banter

Ultimately I need to recode large chunks of it from raw PHP into more dynamic JavaScript but, ultimately, I just can't be bothered, especially since the game is going to be redone...I dunno...maybe I should be spending a bit more time in order to better learn things like JavaScript

I am server side (java) and I hate js but sometimes you just need to live with it.

The problem is that the site entirely works off URL commands - it's completely unsecure and overly manual but "it just works" and I don't care much beyond that

Ideally I should be putting in buttons etc to run scripts and have it work a lot more insular but meh...

after the highs of last seasons NZI...I am getting absolutely humbled this season...not sure where the table is, but I must be at or near the bottom?

You have a different problem. One that I can't see the cause by looking at fixtures. It looks like you weren't given fixtures in some weeks, rather than having them overridden like with gimping.

Oh true, so what is the go then? I mean I'll win it without having the fixtures anyway but just in case...

Not sure. If giving out the 1st place trophy depends on it, I'll just manually create fixtures for the missing games, then add the points earned to the points table to see who deserves the trophy.

It seems to be the same problem I posted earlier in this thread which isn't related to constant fixture creation or overriding and clashing fixtures.

The Kember tier has major problems which seem to focus around Activist's team (Welcome Bay Bandits) who as you can see have only played 5 games instead of 7. As far as I can tell, these games were never created in the first place rather than overlapping/clashing fixtures.

We should delete all the fixtures involving (recently turned) bot teams yeah?

They get voided anyway - no use doing anything now.

OK I've gone through the fixtures DB and updated all the fixtures involving those teams (Forks Red was Northern_Knight's team) so that the opposing team gets a default BP win. Does that look better?

I've also manually created the fixtures for Welcome Bay. They were Anytime which helped - I've doubled up on them for Thursday and Friday so they can get the right number.

So what about future fixtures such as this one with a bot team?

There is a problem with your team High Diamonds. They have apparently 5 draws but all (or most?) are from you defaulting with the WCC clash.

I'll manage the future fixtures - rather than wiping them out completely I'm going to have them just be 28-0 BP victories.
