Re: Season 30 General Discussion
Attention NZ Managers! The Season 30 Edition of the NZI is now over and once again the competition was extremely tight!
Teams will be sorted into groups of 8 and will play each other, home and away, through 14 weeks of the season. Come the end, the most competition points will see a winner in each tier. The more teams we have sign up, the more tiers of competition we will have.
To sign up - click here. Enter your team ID and Register - you will be prompted to verify that you have the correct team before you are confirmed as registered.
A couple of notes:
1) This tournament is only open to NZ-based Managers. You may enter your non-NZ teams however they will always play their matches Away so as to maintain synchronous timeslots.
2) Matches are played in the Thursday Friendly slot by default. If you wish you can request to play your matches using Anytime fixtures, which will be played at 2:35pm on Thursdays (NZ Time). If you are not a Premium manager then we cannot guarantee you will be able to play Anytime fixtures. If both you and your opponent are non-Premium then the Thursday time-slot will be used, regardless of your Anytime request.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Good luck and may victory befall you.

Is there a sign-up list from Season 30 around? I could BR-mail everyone.

I sent everyone who signed up last season a BR mail this morning. It's working well so far, already gone up from 11 to 18!

Re: Season 30 General Discussion
After losing the WCC Resin semifinal by one point to the eventual winner and the bronze final by two, I was awarded the Season 30 WCC Iorwerth Award!
A unique trophy, quite the honour!
(and some might say, a consolation prize. )

Good predictions so far kruizey, I just snuck in. You look to be in a good position energy wise and a better match up than mine! Good luck!

Re: Season 30 General Discussion
so semis tonight and im up against Sparker....who I have a totally miserable record against....
They have won our last 7 encounters
They have knocked me out of the national cup for the last 3 seasons
they have knocked me out in the league semis twice! (the only 2 times we have met in the league playoffs)
any suggestions? I think im going to use the random number generator to decide my tactics

You could use the attacking tactics from this game while using the discipline selection from that game and look at both these games defensive selections and merge them together and use the same selections in each zone. If they are different, use the best defensive option that will limit point scoring opportunities for him.

Re: Season 30 General Discussion
No idea if that's the right way to go about it haha, could be worth looking into though. Taking parts from different games that have worked and throwing them together to see what happens.
Sorta like a boil up.

Re: Season 30 General Discussion
Change 100% your tactics for the final. There is not a big chance that will help you win but in the case he's scouted you and wants to be smart to help his team win the trophy, you might outfox him.
Use something you never use. If you lose... well, then nothing really shocking given it's Batman you are facing.

Re: Season 30 General Discussion
Congratulations to everyone who made it through!
I managed to cruise through to the final in III.10 on WNWIM, and I am scenting blood! (imagine the cat being a lion )
Last season I managed to win my league for the first time, but got axed in the final by Maungati Mainlanders (who secured their 6th straight gold without promoting) losing 12 - 44.
This season I won my league again, and I am hoping the final will be different. Sure the Mainlanders have great CSR advantage on me (256K vs. 193K), but now I have a distinct energy advantage over them after two straight games on WNWIM to their normal. I better win it this time!
