Season 29 NZI Banter

Awful, terrible..

Anyway, congratulations to captainkidd and the Buccaners, who has gone past me in the last round to win the Gair Shield!

An interesting observation. Out of the eight teams in our tier, my team has the lowest average CSR while the Buccaners has the second lowest. And we end up at the top, one point between us.. In our two meetings we won one each, both of us winning away. Great comp!!

How is the NZI doing? When is the final update due, and how are we looking for next season?

Final update is due whenever Bren or Pantherus press the correct buttons.

We have 72 teams for next season which is the perfect number. I will go through and check for botanised teams and teams who are looking likely to go bot. Then we'll add in a few affiliates to fill in the gaps.

edit: So about 5 teams will have to be replaced because they aren't likely to log in accept their games in time.

I'll add in the Economists.

Does that include the double entry of the idle Wanderers?

Yes. They have different IDs though. Drop the 20795 club.
We need to make a decision on:
Koseyboy Northern Lions and El Dutch Fairweather Assasins.

Everyone else logs in at least once a week (ish) so should be able to accept fixtures on time as long as they are created this week/weekend.

If needed my affiliate can fill a spot (either one depending on what you need)

Can you send me a list of which ones to drop please?

Congratulations to all the winners, and to everyone who met or exceeded their own expectations oh how they would perform.

Really keen to get some more feedback on the competition, especially the new format.

A HUGE thank you to Bren for his work on administration throughout the season, I quite legitimately could not have done it without you, mate.

It's occurred to me that we don't have trophies for this tournament structure, anyone in a position to be able to make any?

Let me have a go.

Something fancy for the premiership (a big golden kiwi bird?) and less so for the championship (a big silver kiwi), a Cup for the Vaikona, three shields, two bowls and a baby kiwi for the emerging clubs.

Basically we have Premiership, Championship, and ECC already. It's the rest that have nothing. I think only 1st place trophies are necessary?

Of course. About the shields, my idea was that gold, silver and bronze would represent the three different tiers, one trophy each.

Yes 1st place only. We could recycle some existing trophies sure, but if donkey wants to make all new ones and in a certain style it would be nice.

Vaikona = gold cup
Kember = gold shield
Cottier = silver shield
Gair = bronze shield
Molia = bronze bowl
Heartland = sheep
Emerging = baby kiwi

big apologies....i didnt request anytime fixtures...im in the WCC next season, can i please ask that my NZI fixtures are re-created with an anytime fixture?
