Oh. It sounds very promising. But I also think it sounds a little bit too good to be true. And they better port over the squads, academies and club structures!

I guess my biggest fear is that taking in investors means you give up control. The question is, how much?

@Chewy anything you know/can share with us?

Some feedback it would have been normal for such a decision, even on private mail if not in clubrooms. I can understand that some people may feel descriminated/offended although personally I think it's way over the top to pretend this but I can assume there are some sensible souls out there.

Personally I thought it was funny, I've seen those kind of videos on various subject many times (rugby included) and they're hilarious and not offensive. It's from a movie that isn't banned anywhere in the world so I can't see how this can be offensive to anyone, on the opposite, created much needed conversation and even make me come out shortly from my nest.

But some BR mods have this bad habit to quickly hide the trash under the carpet without proper feedback or inquiry which is a shame.

As I was reading this last night I was thinking "how much" too. Call me paranoid maybe.....

I saw they will be employing up to 5 full time staff members... that's quite a bit of money - how are they going to get the revenue to do this, and what effect will that have on us?

They'll need to be making some serious coin if they want to employ 5 full time staff members, cover all the costs in running the game AND make a worthwhile profit.

They'll need to be making at least $2,000 a week to pay for these staff members alone - not sure how they are going to do this while I pay my $2 a week for Premium.

Sounds like the game will be getting monetized somehow, which is what generally happens when investors come in and have some sort of control.

I can see it now - you want jerseys or kits? You're going to have to pay for them.

Much like in a game my mate plays - CS:GO, you get your standard default guns but if you want skins or stickers for them you have to pay to get them, and you can't select certain types you have to buy a key to unlock a "case" which also costs money and the skin is randomly chosen so you'll have to keep spending money to get the ones you want.

I can see the same thing happening here, though you get random colours or designs for jerseys, could even extend this idea to different stadium designs, seating arrangements, colours, you name it.

I like the idea of the 3d match engine and everything else they have said is coming, though i can see how exactly this will end up and at the end of the day - it'll all be about earning the most money possible.

Not really different to the premium setup to be honest... the key thing for me is that any elements of pay-to-win has to be avoided. If you can buy training boosts then I'm out. If you have to pay extra for jerseys, then so be it.

$400 per staff member? That's less than minimum wage if you assume a 40 hour week. You're looking at $3050 a week at minimum wage and you'll definitely need to pay more than that.

The answer though is volume, you need lots of people playing these games. Then, paying $2/wk for Premium is a viable business model for it. I feel the key is adding new sports. Once you get the baseline going then expand to cricket, etc... As you begin to cast a wider net with the different sports then it becomes much easier to achieve the scale you need.

It is an option, but unfortunately cockroaches ate a 1960 edition of Verlonere Siege I had.

And besides, you never know when nigel is actually reading...

Terrible showing from my two forwards..... 13 penalties between them. Possibly the worst statistics ever seen

Yeah. We are analysing this defeat now. Might take a few couch sessions though, and we need to get tryasta off the floor first. Surprised

Not sure a priest, nor any sort of pontiff can redeem gimping's players after that.

Do NZ girlfriends not put out or something? That's the second time in a couple of months that the poor NZ blokes have made the front page of the BBC for not getting enough oats at home! lol!
