We must acknowledge at least one thing to the POMS:

They are the masters of exploiting the faults of others. There is shit certainly for everyone, but the British Media would make you believe the shit outside the UK stinks just worse.

Next time the All Blacks play England the newspapers won't bring the subject of how unbearingly disrespectful the haka is. Next time they will focus in the off-the-field distractions. I'd bet my house on that.

I'm annoyed that the Aaron Smith story is still in the news cycle. It's ridiculous that it was the second item in Radio New Zealand's news bulletin this morning. Still. 24 hours after the news broke. A member of New Zealand's parliament has been detained by Israel but the media doesn't care because a rugby player had sex in a toilet.

I feel the real villains in this story is the couple that felt the need to actually record the act on their phone, that and their pathetic attempt to rationalise going to the media because All Blacks are on Weet-Bix boxes and should therefore be paragons of morality.

Obviously Smith did a shitty thing, but the general public didn't need to know about it.

It seems that no one can have sex in Christchurch without it becoming national news.

And, my favourite tweet on the topic.

I actually give credit to the likes of Louise Nicholas who are pointing out that it was two consenting adults - some people are all but crying rape

The Ingerlish shit on each other all the time. Every country shits on its own when the time is right. It's in the news because people love to shit on their own, it's just macro-gossip. I'd bet on your own street you can't go two doors without finding neighbours shitting on each other. International shitting-on is just a break from the micro-shitting.

Suck it, Europe. No cortisone will ever make you able to do what Carter has done on a rugby field. Suck it, you could only buy an older version of him.

That's a bit cringey Tryasta. What are your thoughts on Wiggins then?

All I'm saying is that Torquemada was especially hard in a certain direction because it was in his family and he wanted to please his patrons. Who is Europe anyway?

Anyway, no-one gives a shit if Carter took or didn't (innocent until proven guilty), although on an academic note the chemistry is very helpful for stamina albeit for more prolonged levels. Personally I'd love to see a league with everyone pumped up on the best steroids and corticoides possible, mandatory to take them, it would be the best league ever!

I loved the games back in the old 1987 days. Forwards weighed around 95 kgs and rucking was actually an art. What we have now is the poor man's version of it. This is why I love watching women's rugby. It pretty much has kept the same essence. I loved Carla Hohepa, for instance

It still exists on Sunday mornings in most countries that play. Amateur rugby is very entertaining. Football disappeared in the 90's. Romantic rugby is gone. There will never be a Blanco run again on a pro field, there will never be another 99 call, there will never be a Lions tour where pride is the primary regard, there will never be mystique and awe when you see a touring side. If you want to feel any of that, join a club and go on an end-of-season tour with them to some place in the arse of Wales or wherever, that's a nice dirty romance. For a dose of plastic passion, soon-to-be-repeated on a channel close to you, switch on the telly.

One thing that would improve it of course would be to bring back the old jerseys, great in the rain and half the team with dislocated fingers; much easier to cheat in the rucks with them too.

LOL. That will go down in the books as the true spirit of rugby won't it? The subtlety of our sport....

Many sportsmen have meet their downfall in the Village of the Damned. Chris Masoe getting smacked by a handbag wielded by Umaga, Jesse Ryder punching a window and needing tendon surgery, and 5 years later getting punched and put into a coma, Daryl Tuffey and the "milkshake" incident. And now Smith. some people just can't handle Christchurch's charms.

I just realized: The All Blacks have scored more tries in the Rugby Championship than the other 3 teams combined.

25 of the All Blacks 38 tries came from just three phases or less. #Stat

Anyone keen for some premium should get on in the Pizza Shield Betting Game which I've opened up for another round - http://www.blackoutrugby.com/game/global.clubrooms.php#conversation=63142&z=4589

Should also mention that the Season 30 sign-ups for the Pizza Shield are open, the competition is on a Tuesday so doesn't conflict with the normal competitions: http://www.blackoutrugby.com/game/global.clubrooms.php#conversation=63840

Most here are already on but I sense some hold-outs... Chewy? Robelix? Activist?

We are all busy?

Chewy is plotting Activist downfall.
Activist is planning World Cup glory.
Sparky is commenting in all World Cup threads.
Donkeysaint is putting up the brave face after a suboptimal u20 campaign.
Sambo10 is MIA.
Robelix is biding his time.
Razor is off to a Shaolin temple.
But the real question is:

Where is Rambo?
