I can't believe I'm winning 7 tries to none after 42 minutes. Elsteveo, are you on a lower intensity? Should I have played normal instead?

Congrats to both, impressive wins!
@donkeysaint when's your next nt/u20 term? A result like that when stars and csr are so tight is truly impressive. Hard luck Elsteveo, I have also been bested by donkey in recent times

Re: Season 32 General Discussion
Thank you everyone!
I'm happy I managed to keep pressure up throughout the game, scoring six tries per half. I was lucky enough to avoid injuries (unlike my last few games), allowing all my substitutions to go through as planned, adding to that pressure being kept. And my tactics seem to have been working just right in this game. Still, the size of the victory really surprised me too, I was expecting something much closer. But I also thought the energy difference would be bigger than it was.
Regarding the future, I remain very sceptical about the future of classic BR, once BR2 is released. As long as there are no pay-to-win features, I will be moving towards it on release.
With my family foremost (twins aged three and a one year old), and my work too, I cannot find time to commit to running any international sides for the time being. My last (and first) U20 term, while being very fun and intellectualy rewarding, was also putting considerable stress on me, especially during EOST and WC times. The day-to-day running was also a considerable commitment, contacting managers about players, discussing tactics on the offsite and setting up games. Not having that now is a relief.
I do almost nothing in terms of adjusting tactics or scouting opponents now. I think I have managed to build an effective squad over the last few years, and I have a set of tactics that work well for it most of the times. The only management I do, really, is handling energy between the games. It keeps it ok in terms of time spent.

@donkeysaint what you achieved in the u20 was outstanding. I have always told you and I repeat again your handling of the team during the u20 World Cup was amazing. If you want to come back to drive the team for S34 (and I leave up to you the possibility to change your mind) I will be happy to be your assistant.

Re: Season 32 General Discussion
These new zonal tactics are pretty cool. Well, "new", shows how long I've been away! Still in the cup somehow, with my hastily purchased team of misfits.

Nice to see a veteran getting back into it. Not sure when zonal tactics came in maybe season 20ish? Did you have lots of money saved up for being away so long?

Re: Season 32 General Discussion
With the remaining 10 mill you can buy some u20 youngsters to train for S34

Re: Season 32 General Discussion
If you want them when they are cheap, you should look now (this season) for 18 yo (meaning they turned 18 this season). Any player able to reach around 90K CSR at the end of this season could be in contention in S34 and players above 100K CSR are all in bar some exceptions.
If you want them when they are strong, then you should look for them next season, when they are 19. Some managers promote them early next season to maximize the training in the Academy but then, probably what is sold is mostly leftovers and fringe players.
Feel free to use this thread to see what could be in the cards and see if you want to negotiate with some managers an early release for you to buy

Tbh $15M is chump change these days. Though still plenty to buy a decent squad, and some U20 kids.

Re: Season 32 General Discussion
Yeah I'm guessing it's not much! I always ran a money-tight team though back in the day, so it's a lot for me haha. I may wait for the next U20 cycle, since I threw some money into the youth academy, along with some stars .

Probably the Freelancers! Not looking to invest money on renaming players into Offsite names right now haha.

Tight 7-3 lead at halftime in my cup game. I've dominated possession and territory, but struggling to put points on the board. I'll need to review my tactics after all of this.

Whew, game securing try in the 79th minute to win 23-31. Too close for comfort there.
