Re: Season 29 Discussion
@Tinie welcome to NZ!
I have never doubted your passion for the PI community or the amount of effort and time you have contributed to the nation. What I don't and didn't appreciate was the lack of communication more than anything. Currently I am continuing to train what are realistically piss poor players due to not wanting to contribute when you dominate a nation and attempt to control it's people's actions.
Regarding Kisi Bavadra you were not keen to have him due to low csr gains until lvl 4 arrives in 5 weeks?
Regardless I apologize for bringing this to the club rooms in a negative manner however it was affecting our ability to produce a quality side. I'm sure you have investigated our squad and the players in it

Peace mate ,
I gues we both are just trying to look out for the interest of the nations we back. Let me tell you looking at 50 odd prospects and finding 10 kicking as your best KB is a tad dis-harting and highlights the concern I have with smaller nations struggling to meet the training demands. Considering NZ has 227 active managers and also struggling with u20 depth. You can see my concern for a much smaller nation.

Can I feel an nz affiliate coming along?
I will flick you a message when level 4 facilities are available for Bavadra and we can see how we get on. No kicking training though

Have been thinking of moving 1 or 2 of my clubs around. So lets see, have heared some good raves about a certain local NZ comp hosted by Mr Bren.
Hosting comps are alot of time and effort. So hats off to him! (where are the beer emoji's?)

The NZI is a great comp but Pantherus is largely responsible for that.
We definitely need beer emojis.

Jeezus, alright then. Just 2 more posts and chewy was going to give us his candidacy manifesto for New Zealand First for the next election. Bugger. Ah well, turn the page.
Anyway, I see Tinie my old buddy has joined all-of-a-sudden-like. Timing is everything in life as they say.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Made some alterations to my cup prediction spreadsheet and ran a fresh prediction just in time for tonight's matches.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PliGND8aj1kE8CVDqPlKwlMct71kKi-MTuzLUJHJkNg/edit?usp=sharing
Changed the way that probability is calculated and also changed the way that team strength is calculated to give a boost to teams with high first XV CSR's and low rankings (like Linkin Hawk 15).
The probabilities for Jolly Roger Crew is probably a bit low since the simulations don't take into account that being in division two means that the Jolly Roger Crew will have a bit more energy to spend in the cup as opposed to the division one teams.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Thanks, Bren!
I have a fifty percents chance of winning my cup game tonight, according to your spreadsheet. The stars are out and I seem to have a clear advantage.
If I win, that would mean my second win in a row against Meadowbank Tigers, while I a week ago had lost 6 out of 7 games against them. Before this season they were too strong for me, this season it seems the table has started to turn.Â
This is one aspect I love about this game. That slow sense of progression that tells you you are on the right track with team-building and tactics.Â
Fingers crossed!

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Good luck! Definitely looks like a good advantage for you there.
Interesting, assuming you win. You were given a 50.33% chance to win this week, and a 11.92% chance to win next week. Just winning this game boosts your chances for next week to 11.92%/50.33% = 23.6%. Of course that probability only exists for a brief moment of time before you get assigned your next match when more information comes to hand.

Anyway, I'm up 50-14, 7-2 in tries after the first half. I'm happy to take those 23.6% for R6..
