Francisco Arbizu came on in the first 5 minutes at the ripe age of 55 years young, playing basically a whole top-level game; he made 108 carries, won 1 turnover, made 3 tackles but missed 6. If any of us could do the same we would be a superstar.

I wonder who the defender was that he beat 5 times, let's see how you react in an over 40's match when you get there and the opposition allows the captain's 20-year-old son to play due to numbers and runs rings around you. I guarantee you'll punch his nuts in a ruck!

@razorbladeyfronts perhaps the challenge is not to field a 55 yo and lose the match...

I think your ageism is a disgrace! In this day and age of equal opportunity we should be learning to respect what an experienced mind can bring to the table, not just discard them onto the scrapheap! Would you be saying the same if you knew he were a homosexual 55-year-old? Or maybe if he came from a minority background? Ah, but seeing as he's a middle-aged white male he is despised by the SJW society we are unfortunate enough to be living in now.

Moreover, razor, I see my players' taxes paying his retirement in a near future...
He can't die too soon, he's becoming only a charge for the social security system.
As for him being homosexual, I think you are wrong. There's never been an active player that is homosexual. It is known they all were homosexual only after they retire.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Having finally reached division 1, my team is now at a point where the core of my squad are all dropping and Im struggling to put together a roster for next season that will even be competitive in division 2. I sup pose I'm at the point in the game that the likes of specialk and pantherus got to before they sold up and began 'rebuilding'

@pantherus - You're above the autopromote line so don't fuck it up this time.
@simon71 - There is the option of constantly buying old players as they appear on the TM to keep you from going backwards. But that method never appealed to me. When I got to near that stage I opened up my L5s and YA and went for a long term slow and steady build.

Appeals to me! And the record since I started doing it , not too shabby.
But hey, my facilities will be up and running next season so it could be the end of me

Because Rob kept crying every season
Also, tried that route for a good bunch of seasons now, time to get back training
Makes for a fun season tho!

Re: Season 29 Discussion
Simon you live to fight another day in Div 1. Good luck for the qualifier
Looking at Div 2 Millennium Falcons get autorelegated. I thought he would have either gone bot by now or sold off and become a money farmer. But he has opted to do neither.
Hautapu Hopefools also drop down. PTT signs in somewhat regularly so doesn't look like he'll go bot which is great for NZ if he ever wants to get serious again. Was one of the best managers back in his heyday.

Re: Season 29 Discussion
This playeris in the TM.
If anyone looks to train a youngster, he is likely to be selected in the u20.
Brentton tried to call him up but was not released.
Now that he us a free agent...

Lol - yes, I managed to remember. The strategy of lulling my opponent into a false sense of security backfired as I lulled myself!

you do seem to have that effect on people
anyway, chewtoy, good luck for tonight...its seems we are both a few players short of a full XV...having to go through the stock of reserves to see who can slot in to replace Gormley....the TM has been a bit short of talent recently (or sold for too much)....
